Over 40% of brands fail to send a welcome email to their subscribers and therefore miss a valuable opportunity to create stronger customer engagement and increase revenue. The infographic below outlines how an initial welcome email performs better than a simple first email sent during the course of an email campaign.

The effectiveness of connecting with your email subscribers quickly while their interest is still hot can be likened to enjoying good old British fish and chips. They are delicious when piping hot, but completely unappetizing when cold.
